A Burger is Born

RetroCheeseburger is the musical project of Dallas, Texas-based songwriter Madison Neisius, blending pop-punk vocals, nostalgic hooks, bluesy, hair-metal-inspired solos, and a sweet sense of humor to create songs that exude joy and beef.

 

Madison is known for her fun, commanding yet approachable stage presence, appearing on American Idol and receiving glowing praise and support from Lionel Richie himself. “I see the talent and light in you. You belong in this industry,” Richie told her, with Katy Perry and Luke Bryan also praising her guitar skills.

 

She’s no stranger to spontaneous moments either, joining Bowling for Soup and Vaden Todd Lewis of The Toadies onstage, opening for The Wallflowers, and even sharing a lineup with Joan Jett & The Blackhearts. Madison is a two-time Texas AllStar with School of Rock, spending two summers touring the country and performing at venues including the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, House of Blues, Hard Rock Cafes, and more.

 

In between all the shows, tours and madness, Madison has spent 20 years writing original music, including her song “Fire,” which was officially licensed by ABC/Disney. Combining her backgrounds in music and visual art, RetroCheeseburger is where all sides of her creativity collide with one simple mission: make art that tells a unique story and never takes itself too seriously.
